Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification

If one of your assets was removed or blocked due to a copyright takedown—and you believe this action was a mistake—you can submit a DMCA Counter-Notification (CN). This allows for possible reinstatement of the content.

When Should You Submit a Counter-Notification?

Only file a DNCA CN if:

  • You genuinely hold the rights to the content.

  • You’re prepared to stand by your claim legally — filing a CN escalates the process, and the claimant could potentially take legal action in response.

Important Legal Requirements

  • The CN must be submitted by the copyright owner, or by someone legally authorized to act on their behalf.

  • It must contain all required information accurately—missing details render the CN invalid.

How the Timeline Works

  1. Send the counter-notification directly to the claimant, and CC Kingsmen Studio at [email protected] and [email protected]

  2. The claimant then has 10 business days to inform us (Kingsmen Studio) that they’ve filed a lawsuit to prevent reinstatement.

  3. If no lawsuit is filed, we’re required to restore the content—even if it was previously removed.

Note: Some streaming services or DSPs may not automatically reinstate content, even with a valid CN. However, submitting one is the first step toward reinstatement.

Counter-Notification Template

Below is the structure you must follow. Copy and fill in the bolded sections exactly as instructed—we cannot process incomplete or inaccurate submissions:
