Understanding the timeline from streams to payments helps you plan your earnings and stays informed of the distribution cycle. Here's how it works with Kingsmen Studio:
When Do You Receive Your Statement?
We issue royalty statements on the 25th of every month, without exception.
How Long Until DSPs Report Your Streams or Sales?
It takes time for digital service providers (DSPs) to send usage reports and payments after a track is streamed or downloaded:
Platform | Typical Reporting Timeframe |
Apple Music | ~2 months (e.g., January activity → March) |
YouTube | ~2 months |
Amazon Music | 2 to 3 months |
Other DSPs | Approx. 3 months; some smaller services may take even longer. |
Example Workflow:
A stream occurs in September.
DSPs report the data in mid–late October, and make payment by mid–late November.
If Kingsmen Studio hasn't received the funds by the statement run around November 22, you’ll see the payment in your December 25 royalty statement.
When Does Your Payment Actually Hit Your Account?
Once your statement is generated, we initiate payment within 24–48 hours.
Arrival time varies depending on your country and chosen payment method in Tipalti.
Important Process Notes
Many DSPs send reports in mid-month, but we only issue statements after both the report and payment are received.
Any retroactive adjustments (like missed transactions) from DSPs are added in later statements when we receive them.
Your statement may reflect activity from several past months—check the detailed breakdown in the “Sales Raw Data” section to see which DSP and reporting period each line item corresponds to.
